I’ll be honest – it’s highly unlikely that I’ll post anything Saturday or Sunday – we have company coming, birthday parties to go to, errands to run, and heaps and HEAPS of laundry to do. So, I thought it would be nice to do a Mother’s Day post for Friday Follow. It’s especially fitting for blogland because my mom is the one who first encouraged me to start a blog aside from the family one I started after J was born. She blogs over at Healthy Home Blog and has since 2007, so she’s been able to give me a lot of advice especially as I start out.
Here’s a photo of the two of us together from a couple of weeks ago:
My mom is kind and patient and fair, and I hope to exemplify those qualities to my boys as they grow. I am so blessed to be a mom to my sons. I forget sometimes in the day to day moments, when we’re caught up in getting out the door or when I’m surrounded by fussiness, but every day I thank God for these little boys with big personalities that bring so much joy to our lives.
I thought I’d close out this post by sharing a couple of quotes about moms. Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms and moms-to-be out there!
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan
Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
