Today’s Challenge: Something you do every day


I picked something that I do not enjoy doing each morning – making lunches! I need to get better about doing this at night so our mornings are less rushed. But for now, the routine is that while Brian gets the boys dressed, I pack lunches. The boys’ favorite thing is PB&J, so it’s a staple in our house.

C usually likes his cut in strips:

and some days, like today, I’ll use our fancy sandwich cutter & make train sandwiches for J – we have a dinosaur cutter too, and I think these are so great – I highly recommend adding one to your kitchen tools.

What do you pack in your kids’ lunches? Any fun ideas that I could incorporate for some variety?

    That was never my favorite job either!!! My kids liked me to cut their sammies into 4 little squares. lol

      Haha – yes, I’ve had to do the squares too, and sometimes letters are even requested. That gets a little tricky because I have to hand-cut the shapes. The things we do for our kids!

    I NEED to be making lunches every day. I can’t afford the $40/month charge for my daughter to eat at school. sigh…

      It’s a hard balance, I think! On one hand there’s the budget to think about, but on the other there’s only so much time in the day!
