I know what I’d do – FREAK OUT! My phone is my hub of organization. It houses my work & home calendars, my contacts, photos and more. I think now with all that phones are capable of, it’s very common for people to rely heavily on their phones. What would you do if you lost or damaged your phone?

well my screen is shattered by hitting the ground… i refuse to buy a new one since my contact ends in 2 weeks and the new phone comes out in oct…. so i have it taped :)
I dropped my cell phone on the pavement and cracked it.
My son thought he lost his phone while visiting a friend. He panicked and searched all over for it. The next week his friend was cleaning out his car, and there is was.

One evening my children, ages 4 and 2 at the time, decided they wanted to watch a movie on my iPhone while they took a bath. Needless to say, it didn’t work.

I dropped my phone as I got out of the car once. Dinged it up REAL good but thankfully saved the screen! It doesn’t look pretty but I’m SO glad it works. I guess I should have invested in a nice cover…..
My daughter dropped her phone in a pot of oil and after many cleanings it still worked

My brother-in-law accidentally put his phone through the wash, but it didn’t seem to work after he dried it out. He bought a replacement (same exact phone) and soon after the original phone started to work again. Good thing he had a spare, because the second phone took a short trip through the wash, too. I’m not sure if it survived, but at least he had a back-up!
My stepdaughter just last week put her phone on top of her car, forgot about it, and drove off.

Current Im having a mobile mishap. My screen has gone crazy! Half the time it won’t work, and it randomly starts doing things, like it has a mind of it’s own. IE calling people, opening aps, email, etc

while i was in college, i worked at the zoo throwing birthday parties for kids. the cell phone which was in my shirt pocket fell in the duck pond one day

I dropped my blackberry in a cup of sweet tea in my car. It worked for a few minutes afterward.
I put it in some rice for about 72 hours and never had a problem with it afterwards.
My husband had just gotten a new phone with a 2 year service on our plan and not even a week later jumped into the pool forgetting it was in his pocket…
My son “apparently” broke my husbands best friends iphone.
We pay for Asurion coverage, so I would definitely have my phone replaced. Of course, I would freak out since I use my phone to take photos and store many photos on the memory card and photos and their loss cannot be replaced.
Oops, forgot about commenting on mishap experienced. Years ago when I had switched carriers, not even a month after getting my new phone it was damaged by a juice box belonging to my boyfriend at the time (now husband)’s 6 year old son. I always sign up for insurance coverage, but this time when I needed to use it I found out I was not signed up for it with the new contract with other carrier.

My teenager has dropped his phone many times and remarkably the screen never shattered despite falling some really big distances, like off a ladder. Then, one day he stood up and it slipped out of his pocket, screen shattered…and it wasn’t even a big drop.
My daughter dropped my phone and it was broke on the edge.
The first day I had my new “fancy” phone, I dropped it and majorly cracked the screen! Luckily it still worked and I still use the phone, but I felt like such a dork!
My grandfather washed his phone and decided to put it in a 200 degrees oven to dry it out. The phone never recovered.

When I had my car towed a few months back, the tow driver asked if I wanted to see the new iPhone he got just the day before. The glass was completely shattered. He had dropped it just minutes after buying it at the store. (His towing skills were better than his phone skills!)
