I’m a Denny’s ambassador, and this post is a part of that compensated partnership. All opinions are honest and are my own.
I guess I should clarify my post headline, because this is just one of several ways you could feed your family of five for just $20 at Denny’s… and if you eat on a Kids Eat Free night, you can make your money go even farther! We went for Sunday lunch, and we told our boys we were giving ourselves a challenge for the meal to make the budget of just $20. They had a blast helping us figure out various ways to spend the $20 (although some of their ideas consisted of just getting 5 Cookies & Cream Mega Sundaes).
Here’s the skinny: we decided to order from the $2 $4 $6 $8 menu because there are a ton of options and you can get a lot of bang for your buck! Here were our options:
Here’s what we got:
Brian: Everyday Value Slam – $4
J: Stack of Pancakes – $2 (I also gave him one piece of bacon from my meal)
C: Everday Value Slam – $4 (and, okay, we did end up going $1 over because we let C & E order grapes off the kids’ menu to share. They love grapes, what can I say?)
Me & E: Shared the Blueberry Muffin Pancakes Meal – $6
Dessert for us all: Cookies & Cream Mega Sundae – $4
As you can see, it’s incredibly easy to eat out at Denny’s with a larger family and still keep it affordable. We spend more than $20 eating fast food as a family, so this total was so impressive for us. And like I mentioned above – if we go on one of our location’s two free kids meal nights it’s an even bigger bargain. Delicious food, great service, and value pricing – what’s not to love?
Some other $20 combo ideas:
- $4 All You Can Eat Pancakes
- $6 Baja Quesadilla Burger
- Two $4 Everyday Value Slam Meals (Share between three kids)
- $2 Strawberry Pancake Puppies Sundae
- $8 Grand Slam Slugger (One parent share with a child)
- $6 Southwest Turkey Sandwich with Cup of Soup
- $4 Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast
- $2 French Toast
- Two $2 Cheese Quesadillas
- $8 Chicken Loaded Potato Skillet
- Two $4 Everyday Value Slams
