Last week I was on Spring Break, so since I’m back at work this week I tried to plan simple meals as we get back into the swing of things.
Monday: Burgers and french fries, leftover from our date night. Easy!
Tuesday: Family night at Chick Fil A – kids eat free and they have fun activities for them, too
Wednesday: Margarita grilled chicken with black beans & cilantro lime rice (using recipes from Stephanie’s new cookbook – excited to try them!)
Thursday: Leftovers!
Friday: Tacos, black beans, and Spanish rice
Saturday: Breakfast for dinner, or as we affectionately refer to it, brinner. Yum! This is a favorite around our house.

Just my opinion…but maybe less fried food and more baked or broiled and fresh veggies, you can steam them in just a few minutes and they are wonderful. I am much older and know the value of healthy eating starting when you are young. I am also a Texas blogger with a list of the same and would love to add you to my list.

Very true, Barbara! We’ll be grilling the margarita chicken, and the black beans are a great side. Tacos & burgers aren’t the healthiest of choices, are they? :) This is a little bit of an odd week for us meal-wise… burgers are more of a treat kind of meal. We usually do a lot of baked dishes, which are definitely much healthier! Thanks for your comment and your visit! I’m off to visit your blog too!

Please say you make the fries from scratch! I have this one way I make my french fries, you have GOT to try it, AND its baked, its amazing!! They are the best! The fast food fries are way too greasy for me! Burgers and fries would have to be my fav from this list! There are just so many different ways to season your fries and prepare your burgers!
