Boon Review & Giveaway

Ever since J was first born I’ve been a big fan of Boon products – they’re items every parent needs, but with a new twist. When we were first trying to teach J how to use a sippy cup we bought their cup Fluid, which gives chubby little fingers an easy shape to grip – J took to it right from the start! It also helps that their products have a clean, modern look that fits right in with what we love.

Boon sent us three products to try – the Snack Ball:

The Groovy Interlocking Plate and Bowl Set, and ModWare Toddler Utensils:

Now, honestly I had planned to let C try the ModWare and Groovy, but J was really excited about them and really wanted to use them for dinner the day we received them. I got his dinner ready and had to take a photo so you could see the Groovy in action:

I love the separate sections – perfect for picky toddlers who may not like their foods to touch – but my favorite part is the little bowls that latch on to the rim of the plate and can be moved anywhere around the edge. For this dinner, I used it for honey mustard and ketchup, and I placed the bowls so they looked like ears on a certain famous Mouse – J noticed right away and thought it was very cool!

The ModWare is better suited for kiddos around C’s age – J is used to eating with “grown up” silverware. C really likes using them and the shape of the handles is perfect for him to hold.

Both boys have used the Snack Ball and think it’s a lot of fun. Once it’s empty they still hang on to it, and I even looked over once to see J rolling it over to C (who did need help figuring out how to open it, but at his age that’s a good thing so he can’t dump out his snack!). The bright colors of the Snack Ball, and of all three products we reviewed, are perfect for kids and make eating a little bit more fun. We need all the help we can get with J, who is our picky one – and I’m sure many parents can relate!
