I’ve written about my love for my iPhone before. Well, my children have decided they love it too – which is great and all, except we all know how destructive toddlers can be with things! Anytime either of the boys was holding my phone I was always a little on guard, worried that at any moment it might get dropped (or hurled!) to the ground.
Well, that worry is no more – I’m reviewing the OtterBox Defender Series case, and my phone feels completely protected. The case is comprised of three layers, designed to protect against bumps, drops, scratches, and dust.
Once I got the case on my phone, my first test was putting it in my back pocket – this is where I often stick my phone when I’m running around, and I wanted to make sure a) the case wasn’t too bulky to fit in my pocket and b) the material didn’t stick when I tried to pull the phone out of my pocket. It fit perfectly in my pocket and was really easy to get out, too. It also came with a holster so I could clip it to my pants if I wanted to. I’m not really the holster-wearing kind of girl, but I figured I’d give it a try. I really like that the phone slips into the holster facing inward to protect the face.
Here’s a close-up of the holster itself – you can turn the clip so that the phone hangs at your preferred angle.
The back of the case is sleek, with the OtterBox logo etched into the silicone. There’s a little round window so you can clearly see the Apple logo.
Here’s what the phone looks like in the case – I had a little trouble getting the screen protector on without bubbles, but I don’t even notice them now.
I really love this case! There are different colors to pick from if you want something more unique than black, but the color isn’t what this case is about. It is the ultimate in protection for your phone, and it does its job well without sacrificing stylishness.
OtterBox makes cases for a wide variety of phones: the BlackBerry, Nexus One – and several HP, Samsung, Palm, Nokia, LG, and Motorola phones too. There’s even a new case out for the iPhone 4. Would you love to have one of these cases for your phone? You can buy one, of course, or you might just win one here – OtterBox has given me the chance to host a giveaway!

Great giveaway! I subscribe to your RSS.
I visted the site, and I like the Commuter Series the best, but with the amount of times I drop my phone, I should probably get the Impact Series Case! Too bad they discontinued those Etched Impacts; some of those are super cute.
