I love finding a bargain. I guess that’s why I’m one of those out at 3am the day after Thanksgiving, and why I love thrift stores and garage sales. There’s a kind of thrill to the hunt for finding the best deal on an item.
I used to have more time on my hands, back when we were newly married. Now I’m always busy with the boys, or, y’know, blogging, so going out on hunting expeditions for deals doesn’t happen very often.
That’s part of why I love the internet, though. I can sit from the comfort of my couch and, with a few clicks, take care of a large chunk of shopping. Finding deals on the internet, though? That can take some time.
That’s where Brad’s Deals comes in. This is a site that consolidates deals like no other I’ve seen before – the people at this site are on top of things, posting all the time to keep readers constantly up to date on what’s available. Taking a glance right now, I see a deal posted just 29 minutes ago. On a Sunday.
If you don’t see a discount that works for you in the most recent posts, you can also browse by category or by store, making it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. There are online coupons and printable coupons, which broadens the range of finding something that works for your needs.
Another feature I really like about the site is that you can sign up for alerts on certain stores or categories. Looking for a deal at Target? Just sign up, and Brad’s Deals will send you an e-mail when Target deals or coupons are posted.
They also have a blog that provides tips on saving money along with occasional opportunities to win prizes – right now there’s a chance to win Photoshop CS5, valued at $699!
I got the chance to review Brad’s Deals, so I was bargain hunting with a purpose. I wanted to find an item I really wanted at a huge discount – because it’s no good saving money if you’re spending on things you don’t really need or want, right? There were a lot of deals that appealed to me, but then I saw it:
I’ve loved Boden for a long time, but their pricing has always been out of my comfort zone, so I don’t make a habit out of checking their site.
I’d been looking for a good brown purse for a while, so after being alerted to their sale from Brad’s Deals, I decided to check out their purse selection, and I found a great deal on the perfect purse for me:
Leather, nice enough to carry to work but still casual… and I have a thing for satchels. I never would’ve bought it for $148.00, but at 40% off it was a much better deal. Plus, see that little note at the top of the screen? I also got an additional 10% off, plus free shipping. My total for the purse was $79.20, more than 45% off. This is a high-quality leather purse that I’ll carry for years (I’m loyal to my purses like that), so it was amazing to find it at such a deep discount.
What deals are you looking for? Go check out BradsDeals.com and get started finding discounts and coupons that can help you save!
Note: I received a gift card to facilitate a purchase of one of the deals listed on the site, so that I could review the process. All opinions in this post are honest and are my own.
Looks like some great deals!
I’ve been a Brads Deals fan for quite a while, and I have purchased a number of items through them, but I’m beginning to wonder about them now.
Last week I paid $40 for a deal that was supposed to provide a $50 Restaurants.Com gift card plus a $50 FTD.Com gift card. My credit card appeared to be accepted but
1) I never got an email receipt.
2) I never got either of the gift cards.
3) when I went to the Brads Deals web site, where I paid the money, to contact customer service, THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT customer service.
The failure to receive either of the gift cards (valentine’s day gifts) could be been some kind of Snafu on the web, But the failure to provide a way to contact customer service, by a company that processes transactions for 3rd parties, is INEXCUSABLE.
The other thing I have noticed is that I can’t count on any quality evaluation by Brads Deals concerning the items that they list. I’ve bought several items that were decent deals, but about 1/2 of the items were of disappointing quality when I received them, and I would not have purchase them had I known. When I shop at Costco, I can count on their products being decent quality at least 90% of the time. Costco obviously evaluates the quality of their offerings before they agree to sell them. This is not true at Brads Deals.
Doug,
Has anything been resolved with your deal? I can understand how that would be extremely frustrating. Let me know if you’re still not able to get in touch with them – if not, I’ll be happy to reach out on your behalf and try to get you in contact with someone!
Restaurants.Com finally responded with info on how to get the $50 gift card for them, but I still have no info about how to get the FTD.Com gift card, and no link on BradsDeals.Com that would seem to pertain to resolving a problem with a purchase. Valentines day has come and gone, and at this point I just want my money back.
I ordered some pans from bradsdeal and I’m supposed to pick them up from Walmart but I never received an email with any information and I have the same problem that there is no customer service number for me to call!!
Was wondering is there a fee to using this site?
I had a very similar problem it took almost two wks to get products I bought. I think it is ridiculous that there is no way to get in touch and talk to a human being. I had to Email and I got a “Robo” email back. I also never recieved an email confirmation …but they sure were thourough in takin gthe money out of the bank> I did however get a good deal and the products were in great condition. Brads Deals seems like a pretty big entity so what is up with customer relations.
I ditto Doug’s thoughts. I’ve found many, many deals through Brad. However, I’m beginning to doubt the site. I’m disheartened by the fact there are errors in posts that users immediately flag by commenting, and Bradsdeals does nothing to fix the postings. You might say, well, they’re busy or make another excuse. But then you literally have Brad replying to questions from credit card comments from users. These credit card postings are not what the majority of users are coming to his site for. I’m beginning to wonder if he’s being paid well for credit card business referrals, and therefore not focusing on his bread and butter??
I haven’t been back to the site in the past couple of weeks but I’ll have to check it out. Have you tried sending them a message to their contact form or via FB or Twitter to see what their response is?
I have “unsubscibed” three time now over the last two weeks and each time I get the “Sorry to see you go” platitude with a notification that I have sucessfully unsubscibed. Lo and behold guess what? I keep getting daily updates I am no longer interested in. Anyone have a clue or suggestion just exactly how to successfully stop this nonsense? I getting really fed up…
please tell me how to reach customer service for Brad’s deals. I was sent a broken toy and I have no way to report this to them for a credit or replacement. It is frustrating!
Joanne, unfortunately I don’t have any advice. I just worked with them one time on a review, but I don’t have any other association with or knowledge of them. I hope you’re able to get your issue resolved!
I hope you have had your issue resolved. But if not I would suggest finding out who was actual company you bought it from. It took me a while…must be slow…lol.. that I actually got my Pillow Pet Deal from one sale a day.com, and even then they did not have a customer service number, so I thought. I sent them numerous emails and told them that I never got a confirmation email, and never got a reply, but my husband found a customer service number on our bank statement of all places. I actually recieved the package before I could call them. So anyway I feel your pain.. just keep emailing and also check your bank statement. Although Brad has some good deals I don’t think I will be going back.
I am reluctant to purchase through them again.
Heya i’m for the first time here. I came across this board and I in finding It really helpful & it helped me out a lot.
