I have been a big fan of Rubbermaid products for a long time. As someone who really likes organization, this company is just right up my alley! In our house we’ve moved from using plastics for food storage as much, so I was really excited to learn that they now have a line of glass food containers with stackable, easy-to-find lids.
These are GREAT containers. I seriously love them! They’re a nice rounded square shape, really attractive to use for serving bowls as well. They stack neatly and the lids nest right underneath, making them great for storage when not in use too.
We put ours to use recently when we grilled out fajitas with some friends. The large container was perfect to hold salsa:
We grilled up some pineapple and used another container for that, and then used a smaller container for avocado. It looked great, and it was SO easy to just pop the lids on and put leftovers in the fridge.
Yes, this next photo was taken this summer and not last Halloween. Buzz Lightyear came to visit us for fajita night, that’s all!
The containers are great for reheating in the microwave, too. I’d 100% recommend buying the Rubbermaid glass food storage containers – and will likely be buying more for us soon! You can buy these online or at your local discount store.
Note: We received a set of the Rubbermaid glass food storage containers to facilitate the review. All opinions are honest and my own.
I think I’m about ready to try these. I’m so tired of the plastic ones that stain!
We started transitinuing to glass, I buy them when I find them on sale. Much better than plastic.
I love that you can put them in the freezer and use in the microwave.
Tamara, you can put them in the fridge but closed glass containers can sometimes shatter in the freezer, because the contents inside expand when frozen. We kept our Rubbermaid plastic containers for freezing things like homemade ice cream, etc.
Thank-you for letting me know! They would be perfect for storing my cut up carrots and celery in for the childen to snack on. I trust them better than the plastic containers.

I like my rubbermaid glass containers to use for taking soup to work and heat in the microwave. Unfortunately, I was just heating up some macaroni and cheese for dinner tonight and the container shattered into thousands of pieces. I was completely shocked and scared. Nothing like this has ever happened before. I am afraid to use them anymore.
That would scare me too! I haven’t had that experience. Maybe you were heating it too long? I had a Food Network glass bowl from Kohl’s do that to me (filled with melted butter – yay) and I think it was because I had set the microwave for too long and the bowl got too hot.
