My son is 2 and he is learning how to swim. He just started this summer and he loves the water.
They all swim. My youngest started swimming well at 3. We have a pool so it’s mandatory!
I would say poor. I tried a couple of years of swimming lessons, and they just didn’t work.

My daughter just learned to swim this summer. She took lessons for 2 weeks and went from being ok in the water to swimming across the width of a pool. She definitely needs more practice, but it was so exciting to watch her progress. My son is younger and is not as fond of the water, but we’re getting there.

My little grandson is only 9 months old, so we are just starting to take him into the water. He loves to splash around, but wants to do things on his own.

My son has been a fish since age 6. We call him our little Mark Spitz. He has no idea who that is.

They swim anywhere in the pool with swimmies on. My older boys, when comfortable with swimming, would start learning to swim without them in the shallow end.
My grandson just took swimming lessons this winter and he loves to be in the water.

the older kids are very comfortable in the water and the 10 yr old even surfs! But the 5 and 6 yr old are still a bit apprehensive and I need to be within 3 feet of the 5 yr old and maybe 4 ft from the 6 yr old. the 2 youngest are still learning to swim. they are in need of float vest and kickboards for sure!

my 7 year old can now swim underwater, above the doggie paddle and a little bit on her back. Mostly under water on her back. My son is 3 and he was soooooo scared of the pool but just last week i got him in with the life jacket. my 1 year old has no fear.. she swims around the pool with her jacket thing and arm floats.. its so cute
