SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN (3162,3167,3160,3161) ORDER BY meta_id ASC

I seriously love chocolate covered strawberries. I’ve even thought about requesting them instead of cake for my birthday because they just seem like such an ultimate treat. Until discovering Shari’s Berries, I never would have realized you could get online chocolate dipped strawberries to send across the country.

Shari’s Berries takes chocolate dipped strawberries to the next level. Check out some of their offerings:

I got the chance to review some of their strawberries for myself, and I chose to try the Full Dozen Hand Picked Fancy Berries.

They arrived in a nice box, packed with in a large insulated box that included a big ice pack. This kept them nice and cool – and amazingly fresh.

Don’t they look good? There was a mix of dark, milk, and white chocolate. We had family and friends in town, so they helped me sample – and I also got some of my coworkers to sample too. The berries were a resounding hit! Everyone commented on how good they looked.

The berries were fresh and juicy. Some of the juice had leaked out, but the berries rest on padded wrappers that absorbed the moisture so there was no mess. We all really enjoyed them, and I realized this is a great treat for a large group as well as for an individual person you might send them to. Everyone enjoyed picking from the different options available.

If you have someone on your list to shop for that seems to have everything, this would be a great gift for them – or if you want to add something extra special, Shari’s Berries also has packages available to send flowers and chocolate covered strawberries together. Check out this option, where the recipient gets flowers one day and strawberries the next – how fun is that? Mother’s Day is right around the corner – you can find great chocolate gifts for Mother’s Day at Shari’s Berries.

Would you love to try Shari’s Berries for yourself, or send a special gift to a loved one? Well, one lucky reader will win a $50 gift code to Shari’s Berries! This contest is open to all US residents. Entries will be accepted until the end of the day (midnight CST) Thursday, May 5.

Vintage Pearl Review & Giveaway

WordPress database error: [Table './quadium_wrdp27/wp_postmeta' is marked as crashed and should be repaired]
SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN (3134,3148,3150,3149) ORDER BY meta_id ASC

Have you ever known you’re going to love a store just by seeing their logo? That’s seriously how I felt when I first saw the Vintage Pearl – I could just tell good things were in store for me when I got to their site. And oh, were there ever. Take a look at just a few of their pieces:

Erin Edwards started selling jewelry online back in 2007, and over the years it expanded into what is now VintagePearl.com, along with a storefront in Tulsa, OK. There are a lot of moms at The Vintage Pearl, so I thought it’d be fun to do a little Mother’s Day Q&A with them.

How did you tell your spouse you were pregnant with your first child?
• Asked him if he liked Jr. added to his name
• After 3 years of trying to get pregnant, he saw me crying when I came out of the bathroom and knew
• He came in the bathroom to check on me as I was throwing up and I blurted it out, “I’m pregnant!”

What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing your child’s ever said?
• My daughter (6 yrs) told me she wants to be Jesus when she grows up
• My son calls the vintage pearl “the egg store” because of the nest of eggs on the sign of the store. he
says “mommy, are you going to make eggs?”
• I was pregnant and my daughter saw a woman who was a little overweight and said “you have a baby in
your tummy like my mommy,” but she wasn’t pregnant

What advice would you give new or soon-to-be parents?
• Enjoy every moment
• It’s harder than anybody tells you it will be and more wonderful than anyone can explain
• Sleep when your child is sleeping

What children’s show/movie do you secretly like almost as much as your child does?
• Sonny With a Chance
• Penguins of Madagascar
• Good Luck Charlie
• Finding Nemo
• iCarly
• Electric Company

What movie would you be fine with never having to watch again, after having seen it a million times by now?
• Alvin & the Chipmunks, the Squeakual
• Thomas the Tank Engine
• Up (it’s too sad)
• Anything Thomas the Tank Engine
• Teletubbies!!!!
• High School Musical

What’s your secret for getting your kids to eat their veggies?
• Hide it in sauce
• Giving the ones they will eat then supplementing with vitamins
• Unfortunately haven’t conquered this feat

‘Fess up: Are there any foods you make your kids eat that you wouldn’t eat yourself?
• Sweet peas
• Nope…if I wouldn’t eat it, I don’t make them
• Baby food meats
• Seafood

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your kids?
• Playing at the park
• Cuddled up in bed watching t.v.
• Playing outside, watching movies
• Go to the park or the pool and play
• Playing sports
• Playing outside in the yard or park with bikes, balls, badminton

How do you relax when you get “you” time?
• Read
• Watch mindless t.v.
• Reading, pedicures, shopping, girls night
• Shopping, a bath, a pedicure or massage
• Read, eat, watch t.v.
• Playing sodoku or wrapping pearls

So now I love the Vintage Pearl even more, because I can totally relate to some of these answers! Can you?

I spent quite a bit of time on their site browsing the different options they have available.  I seriously contemplated getting this necklace to review – isn’t it completely adorable? In the end, though, I fell in love with this sterling silver cuff . Once it arrived, I knew for sure I’d made the right decision.

I can’t tell you how much I love this bracelet! I had it stamped with the boys’ names & birth dates, and I think it turned out just perfect. This bracelet is solid – I’ve had some cuffs in the past that felt flimsy, but that’s not the case at all here. It’s slim and clean, and something I’ll probably wear every day.

Love the jewelry as much as I do? You’re in luck! :)

One lucky reader will win a $50 gift code to the Vintage Pearl! This contest is open to all US residents. Entries will be accepted until the end of the day (midnight CST) Thursday, May 5.

Mandatory Entry: Visit VintagePearl.com and comment here telling me what you’d spend your gift code on!

(Only valid after the required entry has been completed)

There are lots of options for bonus entries – take advantage of them! Please leave a comment for each extra entry – if you blog about this giveaway and get 2 entries, for example, comment 2 times.

Things Remembered Review & Giveaway

WordPress database error: [Table './quadium_wrdp27/wp_postmeta' is marked as crashed and should be repaired]
SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN (3132,3131) ORDER BY meta_id ASC

If you’re looking for a personalized gift, Things Remembered is probably one of the first places you think of looking. For my parents’ 25th anniversary I got them a beautiful silver photo album engraved with their wedding date – they loved it!

Mother’s Day is right around the corner so you’re probably trying to think of the perfect item to give your mom. Things Remembered has a lot of great options, like:

  • Fashion Birthstone Jewelry – A birthstone holds special meaning for new mothers. Choose from a FashionBirthstone Locket Necklace or a Bracelet, both intricately crafted with woven silver finished links. Choose a birthstone for her newborn—or make it all about mom with one for her birth month.
  • Leaves & Vines Perfume Atomizer – Now moms on-the-go can freshen up in style. This perfume atomizer perfectly fits miniature perfume samples that typically get in the bottom of her purse. This accessory features debossed leaves and hand-set crystals, and the pattern makes a perfect backdrop for a special engraved message to tell mom how beautiful she is.
  • Mother Water Globe – The relationship between a mother and child is one that is cherished their entire lives. And this water globe is treasured for its handcrafted design and intricate detail. This gift is musical! It plays Beethoven’s Fur Elise. Engrave it with lyrics of your own.
  • Mom Float Frame – For home or office, here’s how to show the world who holds a very important place in your life. Give this classic “Mom” frame as a gift this Mother’s Day! Include your favorite 4″ x 6″ photo of the kids or a fun vacation memory. Add a name and a few heartfelt words to the engraving plate to make this gift speak for you each time it’s admired.

Another option is the USB Photo Keychain. I got a chance to review the key chain and was really impressed with its quality. This silver-plated key chain opens up to show a frame that holds a 1.1” x .8” picture, along with a hidden 2 gig USB drive. Both the front and interior portion of the key chain can be engraved with a special message. I had my name engraved on the front of mine, and the inside portion says, “My Guys” with a photo of Brian and the boys.

I love that this has a USB drive included in it! I can store photos, videos, or any other files that I want easy access to. It’s securely held within the key chain by a magnet, and is really thin so the key chain is not bulky at all. If you give this as a gift, it would be really fun to load special photos on to the USB drive as a surprise.

One lucky reader will win one of the following items that I mentioned above (you get to choose!) – personalization is included:

  • Things Remembered USB Photo Key Chain
  • Things Remembered Fashion Birthstone Necklace
  • Things Remembered Fashion Birthstone Bracelet
  • Things Remembered Perfume Atomizer
  • Things Remembered Mother Water Globe
  • Things Remembered Mom Float (Photo) Frame

This contest is open to all US residents. Entries will be accepted until the end of the day (midnight CST) Monday, May 2.

Mandatory Entry: Visit the Things Remembered site, then come back here and leave a comment telling me what product you’d love to give as a gift.

(Only valid after the required entry has been completed)

ProFlowers Review & Giveaway

I love getting flowers. It completely brightens my day to get a bouquet! Brian’s always been good about surprising me with flowers on special occasions. His favorite place to order from is ProFlowers – we love the care they take in packaging, the creativity of the bouquet designs, and the freshness & long life of the flowers they send.

Needless to say, when I got the chance to review a bouquet from ProFlowers, I was thrilled. I had a hard time choosing between all of the options – here are some of the ones I thought about ordering:

In the end, I decided on the Carnival of Color bouquet – the vibrant colors are perfect for spring and are both cheerful and elegant.

There’s just something especially wonderful about getting flowers at work, and that’s where my flowers arrived. I got called up front to get my package, and there was my ProFlowers box waiting for me!

I love the way everything is packaged. The flowers are neatly wrapped in paper, with netting to protect some blooms. There’s a separate compartment with the vase nestled inside to protect it while in transit, along with flower food and a personalized note from the sender. I have one friend at work who said that they use ProFlowers to send bouquets to her mother-in-law who lives in a small town – it’s the best way to get fresh bouquets to her.

Anyway, back to my flowers – aren’t they pretty?

Apparently my coworker thought so too:

I got the flowers four days ago, and thought I ought to take a follow-up photo today so you can see how they’ve fared during that time period.

The irises have bloomed in the meantime, and only one flower in the bunch is wilted. The fact that the flowers still look great after several days is just as important to me as how they looked when they arrived – and I am sure this bouquet will last for quite a while. We have always been impressed with ProFlowers and will definitely continue to use them for sending flowers.

Mother’s Day is approaching quickly – if you’re looking for a good gift for your mom, I’m sure Mother’s Day flowers would brighten her day. If you go “Like” ProFlowers on Facebook, you can even get 20% off your order! Also, did you know ProFlowers even has their own coupon page to provide you with ways to save money on orders from their site? Visit it at ProFlowersCoupons.com.

One lucky reader will win  $50 gift code to ProFlowers.com! This contest is open to all US residents. Entries will be accepted until the end of the day (midnight CST) Monday, May 2.

Mandatory Entry: Visit ProFlowers.com and tell me which bouquet you’d pick to send (and to whom)!

(Only valid after the required entry has been completed)

Please leave a comment for each extra entry – if you blog about this giveaway and get 2 entries, for example, comment 2 times.
